FOCUS SCRIPTURE: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).
ENCOURAGEMENT: I want to highlight HOPE. Very often during a time of despair, our hope is challenged. But, God says, His plans are to give us hope, hope and a future.
During a very dim and gloomy time in Jeremiah’s history, he told the people that God would restore them.
The Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
That means this is a promise for us today; a promise of HOPE and restoration.
Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation of positive outcomes.
Hope is a joyful expectation about the future.
Hope is where you’re going, not where you’ve been.
This treasure of hope is calling you to a new place in your hope. Activate your gift of hope right now; you have the power within!
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You that You already have plans for me. I lay claim to Your promise that the plans are to prosper me, to give me hope and a future. And now, Father God in this moment I ask that You fill me up with Your hope and help me to resolve to stand on Your hope. Dear God help me to activate Your promise of hope every day of my life, and to know, You Lord, are my hope, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
REFLECTION: Be mindful this week of challenges you face and how many times you activate your hope and experience God bringing you out of that encounter.
