THE MIND OF CHRIST

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: But we have the mind of Christ…I Corinthians 2:16b (KJV) and Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5 (KJV)
ENCOURAGEMENT: Too often we give in too easily to the challenges of adversity. We say things before we think and often times allow ourselves to feel things that don’t make us feel good. Let this be a reminder for us to be careful about what we think and say.
I read that we have 60,000 thoughts a day and 80 percent are negative. In general, we think too much about what’s going wrong and not enough about what is going right. But, when we drop our attention into the heart, our mind changes and we think with the mind of Christ.
We have the mind of Christ not by reaching out, but going within because God is a divine dimension, a Holy Spirit and that is the essence of who we are; that is the heart; the soul…if you will. We have the mind of Christ, let’s use it.
Someone once said, we are spirits living in a human body and because we are made in the image of God, we are just that…a spirit, living in a human body. So, let’s take our rightful position and activate the Holy Spirit within and when faced with a knock down blow, get up on the inside and move forward.
PRAYER: Father God, thank You for the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the power You have given us. Lead us in activating that power when doubt set in our minds. Use us each day in a way that makes a difference in someone’s life by using the mind of Christ that is within us. Help us to access it and use it in all activities of our daily lives. Give us the strength to rise above every trial and temptation thrown our way and let us have the mind of Christ in every situation. It is in Jesus name we pray.
REFLECTION: Work on developing a victor’s mentality and watch what God will do. Be intentional in removing doubt clouds from your thoughts. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be also in you.
