Whip Yourself Into Shape In 2008
What Is Discipline?
This month our discussion focused on the process by which one learns a way of life…DISCIPLINE. There are some areas of our lives that we have already acquired discipline – whether it is working out, having good work ethics or getting up ever Sunday morning to worship at the church of your choice. Discipline is doing something even when you don’t want to; it is finding that thing that motivates you.
Being more disciplined is something every believer wants. How do you acquire the necessary discipline? Whip yourself into shape in 2008. Galatians 4:18 tells us that it is good to be zealous in a good thing always.
Whip yourself into shape and get it straight in 2008 with the following pillars of self-discipline.
• Willpower
• Hard Work
• Initiative
• Persistence
In order to build self-discipline you have to continue to train yourself. So let’s become more successful in our discipline by doing all things unto the Lord (1 Corinthians 10:31)
Scriptures: Philippians 4:19; 1 Corinthians 9:27 and Philippians 4:13
