Allison Michelle Henderson, one of the nations most dynamic orators, is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. A nationally recognized orator, Ms. Henderson has addressed numerous schools, churches, civic organizations and other bodies across the United States. One of the most notable was her recognition of being the youngest female to render the annual Martin Luther King Jr. observance speech for the United States Department of Energy in 2001. In January of 2006, Allison garnered another groundbreaking achievement by serving as keynote speaker for the Penn State University System’s Martin Luther King Jr. convocation. This convocation was the first school wide observance of this National holiday in the history of the institution.

A teacher, mentor, and tutor, Allison is passionately committed to social justice, scholastic achievement, and community service. Allison is a May 2008 graduate of Atlanta’s historic Spelman College having earned her degree for Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. In addition, Allison is a charter member of Fellowship of Love Church under the pastoral leadership of the Reverend BaSean Jackson. In her leisure, Allison enjoys traveling and perfecting her fluency of the Spanish language.

Allison is a member of numerous scholastic and professional organizations which include but are not limited to: The Outstanding Young Women of Spelman National Directory which is stored and displayed at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC; The National Society of Collegiate Scholars; National Dean's list of College Students; Who's Who Among American High School Students; Most Outstanding Senior in Fayette County (2000), Jack and Jill Alumni Chapter of Spelman College; Executive Committee Member of the Fayette County NAACP; and several NAACP local and national ACT-SO (academic – cultural- technological - scientific Olympics) awards.

Allison's goals, dreams and aspirations in life are embodied in this quote by Benjamin Elijah Mays that simply states, “ In all that you do strive to do it so well that no man living, no man dead, and no man yet to be born can do it better.”

Born in Tuskegee, Alabama and raised in College Park and Riverdale, Georgia, Valaurie Bridges Lee is a “cheerleader for Christ.” Her enthusiasm and desire to have a personal relationship with Him began at the early age of 10 years old, when she joined Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where her grandfather, Rev. J.H. Bridges was once pastor.

She holds a B.A. degree from the University of Georgia and a Masters Degree from Southern Polytechnic University.

Valaurie was employed with top Fortune 500 companies such as Waste Management, IBM, and PeopleSoft working in the areas of sales and consulting, when God told her that it was time to “step out on faith” and start her own consulting company. As president and owner of VB Consulting LLC., a software consulting firm, Valaurie believes that God is using her to share His goodness with others all across the country. She believes that God has promised her “every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon, I have given you.” (Joshua 1:3) She has an unquestionable testimony of God’s favor on her life, and how He has opened many closed doors for her.

She is currently a member of Providence Baptist Church in College Park where her husband, Otis Lee Jr. serves as Associate Minister. She is a member of the mass choir and women’s ministry. Valaurie credits her former church Word of Faith, under the leadership of Dale Bronner, with giving her new revelation about God’s Word and making her thirsty for deeper understanding and knowledge to how the Word relates to her life. Other organizations Valaurie is involved include Women After God’s Own Heart Ministries, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, Debutantes for Christ, and “The UNION,” a marriage ministry.

Valaurie loves people and it is reflected in her support of and interaction with everyone she meets. She is fun loving and enjoys working with young people. It is her desire to always let the light of Jesus Christ shine through her each day of her life.

In her spare time, she enjoys aerobics, shopping, reading, and spending time with her two daughters Baileigh and Blaire and husband.

She lives by the many promises that God has spoken to her heart, but one she reminds herself of daily is, “I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
